KIRK BARRELL
PARTNER
Kirk Barrell currently serves as the President of Barrell Energy Inc. He has worked as a geologist for 35 years exploring the onshore United States. Kirk began his career with Amoco Production Company. For 26 years, Kirk has founded and managed several companies pursuing ventures in the energy sector. Kirk has closed over $432 million of transactions over the past ten years. Kirk holds geology degrees from Louisiana State University and Texas A&M University.
DENIS TAYLOR
PARTNER
J. Denis Taylor is a Co-Founder and Board of Directors Member of Audubon Companies. He maintains an active role in driving the organization’s growth and profitability. Denis has over 35 years of engineering, consulting, and project management experience in the oil and gas industry. He specializes in the design and development of floating, deepwater, production platforms and currently supports Audubon's marketing efforts for engineering of deepwater facilities. Denis earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
BOB ROSAMOND
PARTNER
Bob Rosamond is a Co-Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Administrative Officer at Audubon Companies. Bob has played an integral role in strategic growth and financial decisions since the company’s inception. He has over 30 years of engineering and executive management experience in the oil and gas industry. In his role as Chief Administrative Officer, Bob oversees the Human Resources, Accounting, Information Technology, and Legal departments. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
ALEX GUITART
PARTNER
Alex Guitart is an AAPL-registered Land Manager with 17 years of experience in the energy industry. Alex directs NuQuest's renewables development efforts in MISO South, including Louisiana, East Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi. His skills include land acquisition and site control negotiations, concept-to-completion project management, regulatory permitting, and real estate title. Alex has years of deep-rooted relationships with energy companies and landowners across the Gulf South. Alex is a past president and current board member of the Professional Landmen's Association of New Orleans.
ANDREW MAKEE
Vice President of Development
Andrew Makee is a utility-scale renewable energy professional with 15+ years of project development experience across wind, solar and energy storage projects. He is leading NuQuest's efforts to expand into new markets and develop strategic partnerships. Andrew honed his skills with companies like Avangrid Renewables and Orion Renewable Energy Group, leading all stages of development. His development efforts have resulted in over 700MW of renewable energy operating assets. Andrew holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Carolina University.

NuQuest Energy, LLC is an early-stage renewable energy and carbon sequestration developer focusing on greenfield pipeline growth for partner IPPs and utilities. The company leverages experience across the entire project development process from start to finish and incorporates extensive geological, engineering, and land expertise. Our development offering includes a detailed transmission analysis comprising an interconnection assessment, engineering studies, and an energy yield analysis. Our engineering team performs a full technical evaluation of transmission integration and cost/return analysis.
CARBON SEQUESTRATION
The carbon removal process incorporates carbon capture, transportation, and underground storage. Carbon sequestration is the process of injecting liquified CO2 underground into a reservoir. The NuQuest team has extensive experience with the geological and engineering aspects of Gulf Coast sandstone reservoirs. This includes the geological assessment and engineering design of wellbores and monitoring facilities.
NuQuest Energy, LLC uses multiple sources for investment capital including private investors, debt, and private equity.
NuQuest Energy, LLC is actively developing a greenfield portfolio of 40+ utility-scale renewable energy projects.

NuQuest helps landowners find multiple streams of revenue from their property.
RENEWABLES-HYDROCARBONS
Our goal for our landowners is to maximize their income from all energy sources including oil, natural gas, solar, wind, and energy storage. We provide a unique developer solution, RENEW-HC, where we incorporate a geological subsurface assessment into our design for the utility-scale solar farm. Drilling pad locations, units, and rig access roads are incorporated into the overall design of the solar farm allowing access to all energy facilities. Our approach is unique to the oil and natural gas producing regions.

BKV and NuQuest Energy Announce Carbon Sequestration Agreement with the State of Louisiana
BKV Corporation (BKV) and NuQuest Energy LLC (NuQuest) announced today that they entered into a carbon sequestration agreement with the State of Louisiana to develop facilities and permanently sequester carbon dioxide from local emissions sources, supporting the goal to reduce their carbon footprints and supporting BKV's commitment toward achieving net-zero carbon emissions in its upstream businesses.
